On Wednesday our English class held a Talent Show at Tsaralalana. This is a smaller group than the Friday one, and the results were very different. Gerard brought his guitar and he and others took turns playing it. They sang in groups, songs in English they had learned in other classes. They sounded like gospel songs, beautiful melodies and words.
There was a sweet atmosphere in the class. Everyone seemed happy and involved in the spirit of the songs. I feel really close to these students. I wish I could take them all home.
